These print ads for Brazilian fast food chains just took a huge swing at the big fast food chains in a very cool way. You need to see this.

You are free to eat well. That is the slogan by Brazilian fast food chain Sansa. In their new campaign they decided to take a swing at the huge American Fast Food chains by depicting a few of the world’s dictators and adding some well known elements of known fast food icons.

By combining Mao Zedong as McDonald’s, Stalin as KFC and Muammar al-Gaddafi as Burger King they message is loud and clear. The campaign is created by the Brazilian studio Blackninja.

Rekordelig Cider is a Swedish cider brand that have made this wonderful and weird commercial, you will not regret watching this.

This Rekordelig Cider Commercial is a bit different, it shows the beauty of Sweden by letting two bearded men perform some spectacular ice skating on a frozen (really?) lake in the north of Sweden. To give these ice skaters some music to skate to there is a third bearded man that is performing a jojk as a soundtrack. Jojk or joik as it can be spelled is a traditional way of singing in the Sami culture in the north of Scandinavia.

Rekordelig cider is a originally Swedish brand of Cider owned by Åbro Bryggeri. Rekordelig Cider is marketed in a number of countries around the world.

Get a real break with this Kit Kat Christmas Break Commercial

KitKat went creative with their Kit Kat Christmas Break Commercial, they decided to show nothing.

Kit Kat, the classic chocolate snack bar often uses the line Have a break, have a Kit Kat. For this christmas they decided it was time to take a break from christmas and gave us this commercial. In it there is nothing but a grey screen shown along with a speaker voice who is telling us what we are not getting.

  • Nobody suggesting gifts to buy.
  • No rerecorded sentimental songs.
  • No one dancing in a supermarket wearing a silly hat.
  • No jingle bells or snowflakes
  • No celebrities selling turkeys

Then the commercial simply ends with the speaker saying the slogan Have a break, have a Kit Kat.

A very clever commercial from Kit Kat and it’s nice to see that sometimes less really is more.

Coke gets emotional in this new Coke Christmas Commercial

Coca-Cola are going strong in times of Christmas, in this new Coke christmas commercial real people are connecting with emotions.

You have to give it to Coke, they sure know how to make great commercials. This new Coke christmas commercial is no exception. In the commercial there are six different surprises, a soldier surprises his father by coming home, a young couple lets their family know that there is a baby on its way and a proposal is made.

According to Coke these are all real people in real situations, well almost real situations, there are of course some stuff being made and adjusted so it was possible to film it. Either way, I can’t help but liking this stuff. Well played Coke.

Miller Lite have made some great stuff this christmas, first they made a huge knitted billboard at Times Square and they released an Miller Lite ugly christmas sweater.

Let’s start with the great knitted ugly sweater billboard at Times Square. Miller Lite teamed up with street artist London Kaye to create a huge Miller Lite ugly christmas sweater. London Kaye created a huge two piece knitted Miller Lite billboard that was put up on Times Square in New York City. Cool idea made well. You can see all about this in the video above.

The Miller Lite ugly christmas sweater is available to buy, or was. To bad for all of us the sweater is sold out. Let’s just hope it comes back. You can see what i looks like below and if it gets back in stock it will be available here.

This Johnnie Walker Commercial will leave you in tears

Watch this great Johnnie Walker commercial, but remember that you’ve been warned, it might leave you in tears.

German film students Daniel Titz and Dorian Lebherz or Daniel and Dorian as they go under as a duo have made this beautiful and emotional commercial for the whisky Johnnie Walker. Both Daniel and Dorian are students at the Film Academy of Baden-Württemberg where the film has been produced.

The film features two brothers who are taking a long walk through the highlands of Scotland. They end up in the ruins of an old house where they try to light a fire but end up warming themselves with a glass of Johnnie Walker instead. Then the walk continues to the end of a huge cliff overlooking the ocean, and this is where a twist will appear. Watch the commercial to find out what happens. And we also predict that this is not the last we have heard from Daniel and Dorian.

Emojis have been a part of culture for some time now and this is not the first time we have seen the emoji phenomena being used in ads and commercials. It’s not that long ago since we wrote about a McDonald’s commercial where everyone in it was real life emojis.

Now Leo Burnett in London have created this campaign for McDonald’s UK where emojis are used. Each ad tells a short story that ends up with a burger and then a smiley. Meaning that no matter what you are going through there is a smile and a burger awaiting nearby.

Doritos Super Bowl 50 Commercial Finalists of 2016

Super Bowl 50 will take place on February 7 at 3:25PM in the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. Our highlight during the Super Bowl is the commercials. Doritos commercials is often a highlight and now the three finalist commercials have been selected. Watch them here and find out how to vote for your favorite.

The last nine years Doritos have let their fans make their own Super Bowl commercial. Thousands of commercials have been made by fans from all across the US and we have seen both great ones and not so great ones.

This competition is called Crash the Super Bowl and this year Doritos really put in an extra effort. The creator of the winning Doritos commercial will win 1 million dollars as well as the opportunity to be part of a new film project with filmmaker Zack Snyder. Not a bad price for a commercial.

And it is up to you to decide which will be the winning commercial. On the Crash the Super Bowl website the three commercials are available to see and to vote on. One vote per user for each day is allowed all the way until Super Bowl 50 takes place.

But we really like their new Snickers Crisper commercials that they have just come up with. There are two different commercials that shows how important it is to be focused in important situations. During the commercials there are also two new words that are being invented. Watch and enjoy.

About Snickers Crisper

The Snickers Crisper is a new product that was launched late in 2015, it is a combination of crisped rice and peanuts with caramel which is coated with milk chocolate. Snickers Crisper is sold both as a bar and in snack sized square pieces.

An Ode to Laphroaig by Elvis McGonagall for Burns Night

See how the Scottish poet Elvis McGonagall reads a poem in the honor of Laphroaig, an ode to Laphroaig.

Today is Burns Night in Scotland, each year on the 25th of January the Scottish poet Robert Burns is celebrated in Scotland. This year Scottish whiskey brand Laphroaig have made a special film about their whiskey where the poet Elvis McGonagall reads and ode to Laphroaig.

The film is part of the Opinions Welcome campaign that Laphroaig have been using for a while now. We have written about the Opinions Welcome campaign here at Ateriet before so if you want to check out some earlier films do so here.

Robert Burns is considered the national poet of Scotland and was active during the late 1700’s. One of his most famous poems is the Address to a Haggis in which Robert Burns shares his love with Scotland’s national dish. Watch a version of that below.

Schweid & Sons are on a mission to make Burgers great again

Make Burgers Great Again. That is the message from ground beef company Schweid & Sons who came out with this very funny video on how people are limited by their friends and family to cook their burger just the way the like it.

Make burgers great again with Schweid & Sons. That is the message in this new and very funny short film about people who feel they can’t have their burgers their way. The film is a parody of similar but more serious films made in the same style from brands like Always and Dove. We love those films as well but it’s always fun when someone makes a comment on it, especially without dumbing things down.

The film starts out with an interviewer asking a few different men and one woman about their burgers and if they feel allowed to eat it the way they like. To most of them they don’t really get what the idea is about, the woman calls it out for what it is. Stupid.

By the end of the film the burger lovers are given a big box where they write down something they want to destroy and then does just that. All of them except the woman who gives the camera the finger. We love her. Now watch the film.

Diet Coke Unique Bottle Campaign vs Absolut Vodka

Diet Coke are releasing a new campaign called “It’s mine” in the US with millions of unique Diet Coke bottles, maybe you can mix that with a unique bottle of Absolut Vodka? Read about the Diet Coke Unique bottle campaign.

It’s mine, that is the name for the Diet Coke unique bottle campaign that is currently launching in the US. With a HP Indigo digital print they will create unique labels for every single packaging. The same campaign have been made in Israel before according to Adweek and now the same campaign comes to the US.

We love campaigns like these and Coca-Cola have been very succesful with their previous similar campaign like the global Share a Coke campaign with names printed on the packaging. The designs are packed with color and I think it’s a safe guess that many of the unique designs will be saved by Coke fans from all over the world.

But this all seems a bit familiar doesn’t it. And it is. Absolut Vodka have been making unique designs for years and in 2012 they made 4 million unique glass bottles of the iconic vodka. Oh yeah, those 4 million bottles was also numbered.

My Dad Hershey’s Commercial will leave you in tears

My Dad is the name of this new Hershey’s commercial that might leave you in tears, I came close myself so watch it and see how you’ll do.

There is so much I love about this new My Dad Hershey’s commercial. The commercial is about a busy dad working from home and his daughter that the dad has no time for since he needs to sit in on different online meetings.

The bored out and lonely daughter then leaves the house and prints a cardboard life size version of the dad, stocks up on Hershey’s, marshmallows and graham crackers. Once home again the dad and daughter uses the cardboard dad to dodge a meeting and together they make S’mores instead.

We everything about this, sure things are a bit sentimental but if you take a short break from the cynical you then it is just great.

What I like extra much is that the whole commercial takes place in someplace that actually looks like the real world. Things are gray, rainy and somewhat dirty. The dad has to work, we all get that but they dodge for a quick S’more break. Hershey’s chocolate can only be found in speciality stores in Sweden but if I could get in anywhere I would go buy some just because of this commercial right now.

Last we also love the Higher Love song in the commercial, the original is sung by Steve Winwood, this ballad version is sung by Steve Winwood and his daughter Lilly Winwood. Available at Itunes now.

My favorite commercial this year was the T.J Miller and Shock Top commercial where they argue in a bar, now you can watch them review some of the ads from Super Bowl 50.

I love Shock Top for doing this. First they make what I think is the best Super Bowl 50 commercial and then they release a almost five minute long video of T.J Miller and Shock Top sit around in a couch and review some of the more talked about commercials from Super Bowl 50.

Just when we complained about the lack of ideas in our article about why everyone is matching Pantone with Food McDonald’s decided to launch a new ad where they match Pantone with Food.

Well the timing was maybe a bit unexpected, not that we thought we had seen the last project where food is matched with Pantone. But to see it come from McDonald’s almost on the exact same day that we published our “Why is everyone matching Pantone with Food” post where we both complained and appreciated some projects that is all based on the same idea. Let’s just say we didn’t see a campaign with the same idea from a food giant like McDonald’s to be released at the same time.

Now don’t get us wrong, there is nothing at all wrong with this campaign by Leo Burnett for McDonald’s. The only problem we have with it is that it’s not very original.

These scary but very clever ads warns us for the risk of diabetes when consuming too much sweets – Sweet Kills, check them out.

These scary ads uses sweets that look like wounds to raise awareness on how sweets can increase the risk of diabetes. Sweet Kills is the name of the campaign that has been published in Thailand.

Each ad comes with a very scary wound that is made by using chocolate, berries, cookies and frostings. At a glance they really look scary but once you zoom in for a closer look you see all that stuff that you normally would love to eat.

I think this ad is so well done, in a very effective way it really makes you think about the risk of diabetes when consuming too much sugar. And it is without being bossy or lecturing the receiver which is often the case when it comes to advertising about how people should treat themselves. Well done. See more from this project here.

Say it with Pepsi - Check out the Pepsi Emoji Campaign

Check out the Say it with Pepsi Emoji campaign that is going worldwide in 2016. It’s all about Pepsi Emoji’s.

Pepsi have created hundreds of different so called PepsiMoji designs that they have used in campaigns in Canada, Russia, Thailand and Pakistan. This year the campaign will expand to the US and most of the world via a partnership with the football organization UEFA.

The PepsiMoji campaign is Pepsi’s way of getting some messages on their packaging designs in the same style of Coca-Cola’s very successful name bottle campaign.

Although we have seen some emojis being used in advertising before, (remember this McDonald’s commercial or these clever ads?) no global brand have really made something smart out of the emoji. I think it would be a perfect fit for a global brand like Pepsi and the only surprising thing is that Pepsi didn’t go worldwide last summer at the same time as for the Canadian campaign. McDonald’s vs Burger King Roadsign is Cocky and Clever

Check out McDonald’s France clever and cocky way to brag about how many drive thru’s they got. It’s the McDonald’s vs Burger King roadsign.

Usually when two big brands are competing it’s the smaller brand who is coming up with cocky and creative ways to challenge the market leader. The classic David vs Goliat if you will. And most people do like an underdog.

In this new commercial and marketing ploy by McDonald’s in France the roles are reversed. McDonald’s is the big company and apparently they have a lot of drive thrus, at least way more than Burger King.

So to make a point out of this McDonald’s placed two signs with directions to the nearest drive thru at a location in France. We are guessing that it was not Burger King who chose the location.

On the McDonald’s sing it says, Drive Thru 5 km. On Burger King’s sign the distant is 258 km and you won’t find it if you keep following the road. It comes with a few instructions. Very clever by McDonald’s

Burger King Roadsign Comeback is the best Today

Watch the even funnier comeback from Burger King after being mocked by McDonald’s with a huge road sign. Check out The Burger King Roadsign Comeback, it’s one of the best things today.

Just a day or so ago we showed you the very funny French McDonald’s commercial where they make a little bit fun out of Burger King by bragging about how many locations they have.

Apparently Burger King took this exactly the right way and decided to keep filming the commercial. In Burger King’s version they couple in the car goes to McDonald’s but only to get a cup of coffee in the drive thru to have something to sip on while they drive to the nearest Burger King. A Smooth Salmon Ad that you have never seen before

Check out these three unusual ads, you’ll get to see a smooth salmon ad, an incredible long cheese and as a bonus we give you a swimming dog that is scary close to being mistaken for Chewbacca.

Ateriet is all about food but sometimes we find ourselves in a gray area. This is one of these moments, in these three commercials only two include food. But we like the third one so much we had to let you see that one too.

The commercials is for the Swedish company Klarna and the tagline for the commercials is smooth. A bit hard to get perhaps but bear with us. Klarna is a company that specializes in making payment solutions in online shopping. Sort of like a Swedish Paypal, only that you don’t really need a special account to use it. So the experience of using Klarna when shopping is smooth.

The makers behind these great commercials decided that the best way to show how smooth feels was by slicing an incredibly long slice of cheese using a Swedish cheese slicer or osthyvel as it’s called in Sweden.

Letting a Chewbacca-looking dog swim underwater and finally letting a salmon going down a slide and then smoothly keep sliding across a floor.

We don’t care how clear this is, we just like it. Now watch and enjoy.
